Meet the Headmasters Creative Ambassadors

Art Team

Behind every great salon is a team of people who truly live and breathe hair. At Headmasters, our Creative Ambassadors are exactly that – the talent, the educators, and the visionaries who shape everything we do. From trend forecasting and editorial shoots to in-salon education and industry awards, these are the people pushing Headmasters forward. Here’s a little bit about each of them.

Clare Hansford

Creative Director | Photographic Lead

Clare is the kind of person who brings energy into every room she walks into – and her career is a testament to what happens when passion meets dedication. Starting out as an apprentice at Headmasters, Clare has spent 28 years building a career that spans the salon floor, the runway, the studio and the screen.

Her expertise goes far beyond hair. Trained in makeup at the London College of Fashion, Clare takes a genuinely holistic approach to beauty – one that considers fashion, skincare and overall confidence alongside the cut and colour. It’s that broader vision that makes her such a natural lead on the big creative projects.

Clare has been Headmasters’ hair lead for the Central Saint Martins shows in collaboration with L’Oréal Professionnel three times, has worked London Fashion Week, Graduate Fashion Week and African Fashion Week for over a decade, and has spearheaded the last three HM Hair Shows at the Headmasters Awards. She also leads our annual campaign and blow-dry collection – and has been both a semi-finalist and finalist for the L’Oréal Colour Trophy.

Sian Couldridge

Creative Ambassador | Headmasters London Academy | Colour Lead

Sian’s story is a brilliant example of what a Headmasters career can look like. She joined as an apprentice at our flagship salon and over 18 years has grown into one of the most respected figures in our business – leading on colour, education and the development of the next generation of Headmasters talent.

As Colour Lead, Sian plays a central role in shaping the direction of our colour business – developing new techniques and services that roll out across the whole group. She’s the person who keeps Headmasters ahead of the curve, translating trends into real-world services that our clients love. Alongside this, she oversees the Headmasters London Academy and Art Team, leading colour education initiatives and ensuring that our standards remain as high as they’ve ever been.

Danielle Louis

Creative Ambassador | Headmasters London Academy | Dulwich

Danielle has been part of the Headmasters family for over 13 years, and her contribution to the group goes far and wide. Starting out as a stylist, she joined the Artistic Team a decade ago and has been a cornerstone of our education programme ever since.

Day to day, Danielle works at our Dulwich salon while also delivering courses at the London Academy – bringing that rare combination of salon-floor expertise and genuine teaching skill that makes her such an asset to the team. She’s also been central to some brilliant creative collaborations, most notably working with Kérastase on the launch of Curl Manifesto and with L’Oréal on their Texture Expert programme, delivering specialist training across the industry.

Edd Moss

Creative Ambassador | Headmasters London Academy | Mayfair

Edd arrived at Headmasters nine years ago and has never really stopped moving. Starting in Brighton before making his way to central London – through Fitzrovia, Soho and Mayfair – he’s spent the last six years as a key member of the Artistic Team, training and inspiring hundreds of stylists across the group.

His specialism in textured hair sets him apart. Having trained with industry icons Nicole Iroh and Errol Douglas, Edd brings a depth of knowledge and craft to textured hair that is genuinely rare – and in 2024 he was recognised for it, winning the Afro Award at the L’Oréal Colour Trophy for his bold blend of colour and texture. Since then, he’s launched The Art of Texture, a specialist training course at the London Academy that’s already making waves.

Edd’s wider career highlights include joining Fellowship Project X in 2022 and the F.A.M.E. Team in 2023. As Creative Ambassador, he leads on editorial projects, trend forecasting and in-house initiatives like Colour Heroes – all while continuing to see clients and mentor the next generation of Headmasters talent.

Our Creative Ambassadors regularly deliver education and training at the Headmasters London Academy. Whether you’re a stylist looking to develop your skills or a client curious about what goes on behind the scenes, there’s always something exciting happening.
