New clients to Headmasters who have never had professional colour before must undergo a skin patch test 48hrs prior to the appointment.
New or existing Headmasters clients who are either pregnant, have had changes to their health condition, or have previously had a reaction to a colour service must undergo a skin patch test 48hrs prior to the appointment.

Can I still get the 50% Off Hair Colour discount without any other services?
You must choose either a cut + blow-dry or standalone blow-dry to get the 50% off hair colour discount.
We encourage booking with a cut & blow-dry for the full confidence-boosting effect (and you can also redeem VIP club offers on the cut!). If you’ve recently had a cut or don’t need one, you can book a standard technical blow-dry to finish off your colour service at cost of £35.

What is the difference between highlights and balayage?
Balayage is a freehand painting technique that creates a soft, blended gradient of colour. The colours are swept on in a way that mimics how the sun naturally lightens hair, starting softer at the root and becoming brighter toward the ends. Many colourists also use teasy lights or foilyage techniques to achieve a brighter, more lifted balayage look while still keeping the seamless, natural blend. The result is a low-maintenance style that grows out beautifully, meaning your hair will look stunning for longer.
BEST FOR a sun-kissed finish, effortless style, and easy upkeep.
Highlights are created by weaving or sectioning strands of hair and wrapping them in foils before applying colour. This allows for precise placement, from root to tip, and can give an overall brighter, more uniform lightened effect. Because they start at the roots, highlights usually need more regular maintenance to keep regrowth blended.
BEST FOR an all-over lighter look, maximum brightness, and a more defined contrast.
